Staying home is still the best way to lower our risk of COVID-19, but many of us are eager to take small steps to safely see our friends or family again.
This new information from the Vermont Department of Health will help give you guidance on how to safely allow some socialization, while still preventing new cases and serious illness from quickly increasing.
- Continue to practice health and safety precautions: maintain 6 feet, wear a face mask, wash your hands, and stay home if you’re sick.
- Keep your social circle small: pick just one other trusted household of family or friends that are also practicing safety precautions. Limit groups to 10 or fewer people.
- Choose Safe Activities: gather outdoors if possible, avoid activities that involve sharing food or touched objects, avoid traveling to other locations.
- Protect those at Higher Risk: people over 65 or those at higher risk should continue to stay home, and socialize by video or phone.
