Social Distancing

Social distancing is an important public health strategy used to slow the spread of illness in a community. This is essential to prevent everyone from getting sick at the same time, which would overwhelm our health care system. It also helps keep our most vulnerable population (such as the elderly) safe. It is our responsibility as community members to follow these social distancing guidelines.

Being away from friends, extended family, and social activities can be hard on kids. Use technology such as FaceTime or Zoom for visits and playdates to help them stay connected. This is a great time to plan some family activities! Taking a walk or a hike or riding bikes are great ways to get out and get active without having physical contact. If you go to parks, keep kids off of playground equipment and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others.
